Ría Progreso

Located 5 minutes from the main yucatecan port. The cooperative offers tours in the mangrove swamp ecosystem, which harbors a great variety of flora and aquatic fauna. You will be able to cross tunnels, admire birds, and enjoy the food of the restaurant at the inn. There are also scheduled nocturnal excursions.

San Crisanto

Located one hour from Merida. It has 1472 hectares with vegetation such as red mangrove, white mangrove, sapodilla, poplar, fern and iris. The most productive activities of the ejido (cooperative) are coconut production, salt, UMA (Unit of Management and Optimization of wild life) for the use of white and red crocodile, as well as white and red mangrove. The Eco tourism takes place in an area of 3500 meters of beach with Mayan style houses.

Sayachuleb

Eco touristic cooperative located in a traditional fishing community in the north coast of Yucatan. The tours take place within the state reserve of Dzilam de Bravo; place that allows sightings of flora and fauna, as well as of natural spaces in conservation. The services are offered via local nature tourism guides, specialized equipment, facilities and low impact boats.

Ox Watz

Half an hour from Izamal, it is an example of a cooperative park dedicated to the conservation of nature by means of alternative activities like Eco tourism It has three aguadas or lagoons, the majestic Blue Cenote and the archaeological ruins of XBaatun, site that is conserved in its original state. Ideal spot for bird watching, adventures and archaeology.

u najil ek balam (the house of the jaguar)

These cabins are located in the Mayan town of Ek Balam, place where the traditions and customs of the region are still conserved. The clothing, gastronomy, language, and ancestral ceremonies stand out. The cabins are managed by 23 Mayan families organized in a cooperative; the archaeological zone of same name is less than is 3 km from the cabins.

Cenote x Canché

Cooperative society located 1,6 km from the archaeological zone of Ek Balam.
This site combines nature, adventure, gastronomy and the rescue of Mayan traditions. The safety and tranquility of the activities will allow you to enjoy these magical waters.

Punta Nichilí

Surprising Eco touristic destination in the Port of San Felipe. Discover the biodiversity of its footpaths, motorboat rides and beautiful landscapes observing the millenarian crocodiles and the different bird species that live in this place; visit an archaeological island, practice sport catch and release fishing.

Sihunché Park

Eco-archaeological park, located to the west of the state, very close to the town Hunucmá, a site specialized in bird watching; it has 4 km of clean footpaths, equipment, guides and facilities for the visitor’s stay. It is very important to emphasize that Sisal and Celestún, protected natural areas, are within the bird watching route.

Activities: hiking, Mayan Archaeology and ceremonies.

Kaxil Kiuic

10 km from the Puuc Route (Xlapac). This cultural reserve invites you to enjoy the rich biodiversity or the rain forest, to observe birds of the region and to explore the culture and history, on foot or by mountain bicycle. You can also visit a Mayan home in one of the three communities which have programs.
